After the Session

Planning

Before we meet, think about where in your home you will display your portraits. If you would like assistance in deciding which products, images, and sizes will best fit in your space, I am more than happy to come to your home to help you measure and create the perfect arrangement. You can also send me phone photos of your blank walls so I can help you create a custom arrangement of artwork for your space. If I know what you want ahead of time I can take the right sorts of images specific to your needs. I will share with you a price catalog so you can get an idea of what would be a good fit for your home, your family, and your budget.

Editing

I take great care in hand-editing each photograph to make sure you look your best in each shot. You can expect your images to be ready to view approximately 2-3 weeks after the portrait session.  I’m a perfectionist and I spend anywhere from 15-60 minutes processing each image, even before I know which ones you will choose to purchase. Unlike a discount chain, I will take the time to perfect each image before I show them to you. For this reason, it takes me a little bit longer, but I am certain that you will see the difference. If you have special processing requests, please let me know during the session and I’ll do my best to accommodate.

Ordering

Once I have finished processing your images, I will contact you to set up an appointment for you to preview your images.  During the ordering session, you will select your favorites and place your order.  If you think a payment plan would be a helpful option for your family, please let me know and we can work something out. All products will be ordered and delivered only after the entire balance is paid in full.

I will place the order with my lab within 24 hours after receiving full payment.  Many orders arrive in less than 1 week, but due to the custom artisan nature of the products I offer it can often take a bit longer. Please allow 2-3 weeks after viewing for your orders to be completed. Boutique items such as custom cards, gallery wraps, and hand-crafted albums may take longer.  This means you will have your prints in hand within 3-4 weeks after your photography session.  The exact length of time depends on how quickly you are prepared to choose your products.

If you need your items sooner, please let me know and I will do my absolute best to accommodate. I understand the plight of the procrastinator!

But I just want the digital files!

No problem! I have digital packages available, including just some or all of your images. Instead of an ordering session you have the option of an online password-protected gallery where you can select and order your favorite images on your own. You can also share this gallery with friends and family via email or social media.
